Are we in for some surprises? Salesforce has announced that its first fiscal quarter 2018 earnings results will be released on Thursday, May 18, 2017, after the close of the market, as usual.
The company is set to host a conference call at 2 pm Pacific Time (5 pm Eastern) to discuss its financial results with the investment community, and a live broadcast of the event will also be available for those interested here.
The world’s number one CRM provider has been riding positive news lately, with headlines likely to have a good effect on share prices.
Apart from the trends, analysts expect Salesforce to announce $0.06 earnings per share this quarter, slightly up on the $0.02 earnings per share numbers it reported in its last quarterly earnings announcement on Thursday, February 28.
The highest estimates from analysts for the quarterly earnings comes in at $2.37 billion, with the lowest expected at $2.34 billion. Salesforce posted sales of $1.92 billion in the same quarter last year, and if the company achieves these marks, it would suggest a positive year-over-year growth of 22.4%.
Estimates for the current financial year range from $10.02 billion to $10.22 billion, while financial analysts anticipate the company will post sales of anywhere between $11.84 billion to $12.63 billion next year.
Of course, Salesforce shares have been on an upswing lately, on a recovery track, so to say, since bottoming out at $66.43 on December 2, 2016. They closed at $86.66 on May, pointing to an increase of 30.45%.
How exactly the company has fared in these last few months, will all be evident on May 18.
