And not just any position, Salesforce has been listed in the Leaders Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce for the second consecutive year by Gartner.
This, primarily due to the Commerce Cloud Einstein solution of the global leader in CRM.
The world’s fastest growing enterprise software company was named in the April 2017 Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce, as it was found to be empowering leading brands to deliver personalized commerce experience both online and in retail stores.
Jeff Barnett, CEO, Commerce Cloud Einstein, Salesforce, had this to say on this achievement:
“Only Commerce Cloud Einstein empowers brands to unify the shopping experience across all points of commerce — web, social, mobile, store and others – and makes every one of those interactions smarter and more personalized with artificial intelligence. The combination of our commerce solution and the world’s #1 CRM empowers companies to deliver a consistent brand experience throughout the consumer journey, from shopping to fulfillment to customer service.”
Salesforce was positioned as Demandware in the 2016 rankings, and it acquired the company last year.
Gartner defines commerce as buying and selling interactions among people, businesses and things for products and services via digitization technologies.
A combination of factors like good customer experience, clear policies, ease of use, timeliness and inexpensive price, among others result in a valued transaction for customers, and Commerce Cloud Einstein is said to be delivering a unified commerce experience in this space.
The Commerce Cloud Einstein platform powers more than 2,200 commerce sites in the world in 53 countries, coming in at more than $16 billion in merchandise sold in 2016.
Salesforce has extended the capabilities of its platform over the last year with new innovations powered by AI. Einstein Product Recommendations delivers personalized recommendations to shoppers, and Einstein Predictive Sort, infuses personalized sort and search results based on likelihood to engage.
